We've fished at Salthouse twice already. Both times Tyler and I were unsuccessful only catching 2 small unidentified fish and 1 baby crab. The second time was with the whole family and caught 1 lousy Cod.
I think it's the squid we're using as bait. I'm thinking about changing venue and try out Weybourne next time, which is 15 miles along the same coastline.
Here are some things we've found at Salthouse:
- No restrooms
- Coffee truck is available
- Bait shop (lug worms) located before turning into beach lane.
- Lots of other fishermen, but not crowded
- Long stretches of beach on both sides
- Dogs are allowed
- Many people come to walk and watch the ocean
Welcome visitors! This website is about me and my son's fishing adventures. We travel around the world to test different waters - both fresh and saltwater. However, we prefer saltwater fishing due to high potential of a bigger catch.
Check out the links below. I've included some useful fishing links about baits, rigs, sinkers, floats, and hook recommendations. Plus, don't forget about the photo gallery - features some of the places we've fished. The bottom page also include a weekly blog and you can chime in at anytime and we'll try to answer your questions.
